Management Trainee Program at Severn savings Bank

At Severn savings Bank, we understand that not everyone starts their career path the same way. Some people start at an entry level position and work their way up. Some people spend years acquiring knowledge and experience in order to achieve the level of success in their career that they dream about. But we look at things a little differently. We offer a unique opportunity to one candidate each year that will ultimately allow that person to be in a branch management or lending position in under two years. Our Management Trainee Program allows a chosen candidate to experience all realms of banking – customer facing, lending, management, credit, operations, and marketing during their time in the program. The program ends with an emphasis on the career path that the program participant wants to take. If the participant wants to be placed in branch management, they would spend the end of the program in a branch, learning all about branch functions and operations. If the participant wants to be placed in lending, they would spend the end of the program shadowing a lender and learning the in’s and out’s of how that works. At the completion of the Management Trainee Program, the chosen candidate has an all-around working knowledge of our Bank and what each department does to achieve our mission!
